Haylee's Bebe & Pawpaw bought her the CUTEST little robe for Christmas. We tried it on the other night....isn't it adorable? Tommy was trying to get her to pose with her hands behind her head here......

After some practice, she got it! :)

Look at the difference in Haylee in one year.....WOW! (and notice how much thinner our faces are---all three of us---I suppose that's better than getting bigger??) And yes, before anyone asks, Tommy & I are wearing the same hats and pants....pretty dorky, I know. :)

Christmas morning!!

Santa came and look what he brought Haylee..............A KITCHEN!! :)


It was really neat to watch her.....we brought her down the stairs and when she saw the kitchen she pointed at it and said, "ooooooooo..." She absolutely LOVES it!! :)

Our morning was very nice & relaxed. We ate buscuits and gravy, played with all of Haylee's new toys, and stayed in our pajamas until about 3:30 or so! That's a GREAT day in my book!! :)

Christmas Part 2: Great Granny's house

On Sunday, we drove to Haylee's Great Granny's house (Tommy's grandma) to see her and Grandpa Ray and the rest of that side of the family. Haylee made a haul...she got new books, a doll stroller, clothes, a toy phone, and money for her savings account!!

The toy phone was a HUGE hit!!!! (Thanks, Joy!)

Christmas post #1: Dec. 20th

We had an awesome Christmas. We have done so much the past six days! Whew...I'm going to do a post for each day to get it all up here.

We start with Saturday, Dec. 20th. We drove to Houston to do Christmas with Tommy's side of the family. Haylee's Bebe & Pawpaw gave her a a rocking horse....check out the pictures, Haylee did NOT know what to think about the horse!

She was more entertained with spoons....go figure.

Now that we are home, she has warmed up a LITTLE to the horse....she will now pet it.

Cousin Brittany's graduation

Tommy's cousin Brittany graduated from TWU last Saturday. We joined the rest of the family members who drove in (or live in the area) for her graduation dinner. Haylee wore her adorable Mrs. Clause dress from her Bebe!

SANTA!

We took Haylee to see Santa Saturday morning. I think she had more fun looking at people and listening to Christmas music in line. She didn't know what to think about Santa. But at least she didn't cry. Here's the best shot I got....neither one of them smiling...ha!

After sitting on Santa's lap, we let Haylee play in the play area at the mall...she loves that place! And yes, we let her crawl around in her pretty Christmas dress! It's washable...

funny moments

I have so many pictures to blog from this past week. This is such a busy and FUN time of year...lots going on! So I'll try to make several posts this weekend to catch up on things.

For this post, it's three random shots from the week that make me laugh.


1) Bath time w/ a mohawk signing "please"...


2) When you ask Haylee, "What does Santa say?" she replies with, "HO HO HO!" Here's a pic of her performing that trick...

3) She's had this new thing where she's very interested in the garbage can. So when Tommy put a new bag in it the other night, he decided to let her REALLY check out the can. She wasn't so sure about that...

New area to play

Lately, Haylee's favorite place to play is sitting on the bottom step of the stairs. We don't even have to put the gate up...she just wants to sit there and "read" or play with a toy. She's pretty neat too...she'll organize her toys on the step as well...boy does that make me proud!! :)

The tree

We put up our tree last weekend while my parents were here. At first, Haylee didn't really pay much attention to it. However, everyday she gets more and more curious about it. Now she likes to play with some of the low ornaments. :)

We went to the best Ice Cream Parlor: Beth Marie's in Denton....YUM. My friends and I used to go there all the time in college.....Haylee thought the juke box was pretty cool.
