She's getting so big. She loves going to the park to swing and slide. And as of today to play in the mulch and dirt! Here are some pictures from the park.

catching up

We've been very busy around here. Haylee's had another virus, gotten another tooth, STARTED WALKING (sort of), school is in full swing, my photography business is picking up, and most recently Hurricane Ike hit Tommy's side of the family pretty bad. We are thankful that everyone is safe...but lots of damage has been done to the houses. Think of them when you take a hot shower, wash your clothes, and do the dishes...we sure do take those things for granted.

Here is Haylee enjoying some water while riding in her wagon.
She continually cracks us up when we wake her from a nap. Check out the sleep lines and big red mark on the side of her head! ha!
Here she is in the bath...we're thinking her eyes may be green...like her Bebe's.
And reading...she LOVES books!

And finally....here is a video of her walking! She has done 11 steps at one time. But I think this video is like 5 or 6 steps...the best we could get on video for now. Enjoy! :)

I must redeem myself

from my last post. It was such an awful picture. Here's a sneak peek at H's one year session....she is getting SO big!!

PS-she took NINE steps last night!!!

big girl dress

Haylee got her first big girl dress this past weekend. It is a toddler size - a 2T to be exact. This is her first article of clothing to be from the toddler section and not the baby section. It's an adorable dress for her Uncle John's wedding we'll be going to in a few weeks. Tommy is in it so I get to sit with her in a church pew for an entire wedding ceremony...lucky me! :)

I tried to snap several pictures of her in it tonight...this is the best I could get. She wouldn't be still and wouldn't look at me so I could get the front of the dress. Not my best picture, but you can see the dress! (yes the tag is still on) Haylee and I have a shopping date this weekend to get matching shoes and a head band.


On another note...she took FOUR steps all by herself tonight! I'll keep you posted on that.

And she fed herself some yogurt with a spoon. They sure do grow up fast.

Farewell friend

Haylee's first real friend from Ms. Shari's house has moved on (and by real friend I mean SHE picked the friend...it's not one of MY friend's kids that we're forcing her to be friends with...hehe...but we still love you, Harrison!! ;) ). She is starting preschool. Presley & Haylee hit it off from day one (when H was 6 weeks!). Presley is the ONLY kid in this world that Haylee will let hug her and get close to her. Haylee even cries some days when we pick her up b/c she doesn't want to leave playing with Presley...so sad...H will miss P!!

Blowing kisses

Haylee has learned to blow kisses. It's pretty funny because she'll do about 10-15 at a time. Check out the video...with HORRIBLE lighting and of course no sound. I've told Santa I want a nice DIGITAL video camera for Christmas....so we'll see.

Also notice the little "tada!!" grin at the end. That's my favorite part.
