H's trick

Bebe just loves this "trick" that Haylee does. She had her do it over and over when she was here for H's bday. Ever since she left she's been requesting it on video on the blog...so, Bebe, here it is! (Please note: we taught her this MONTHS ago...way before he died)

and another video as well...

We're still here

We survived our first week back to work full time with kids. It went really well and we are excited it's the weekend. The weather was beautiful this morning (almost a taste of fall!!). So Tommy and I cleaned out our cars, vacuumed then, and washed them while Haylee played in her sand box, rode her bike, and then ate lunch in her wagon.

Below are a few snap shots I took. While cleaning out my car, I found these toy work goggles under my seat. She thinks they are cool.

Her actual birthday

Today was Haylee's actual birthday. Tommy & I had to work all day. But we still celebrated when we got home from work. We saved our gifts for her for tonight so she had something to open on her actual birthday.

She got new books....and loves them already (no surprise there).
She also got a cleaning caddy complete with a broom, dust pan, mop, vacuum, and several small pieces. She thinks she is big stuff with this.
She also got a little play tool box and some tools to play outside in the garage and "work" with daddy. But I didn't get any pics of that toy....I will another day.
And of course, we had cupcakes again! She is her mother's daughter.....she loves sweets! :)

And the winner is...

...Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Brandi, Sayde & Cheyenne!!!!

And what was the contest, you ask? The most annoying toy for Haylee's birthday of course.

She loves this phone and it so conveniently rings really loud and says, "information!" in an annoying voice. Thanks, Brandi. I know you are the one that picked it out.

It's really not THAT bad, you know as a parent you get used to the annoying toys after a few days or so. But it's fun to complain a little too.

Haylee's 2nd birthday party!

DISCLAIMER: This is a REALLY LONG post...so if you aren't in the mood for 20 + pictures, come back later.

So we had Haylee's 2nd birthday party on Saturday. We had almost 40 people here and Haylee had a GREAT time! So here it goes....

It was an Elmo themed party because Elmo is basically part of our family. My wonderful friend Renee (who made the tractor cake last year) made an elmo cake for Haylee...she is SO TALENTED!

I also made 4 dozen cupcakes since we were expecting lots of guests.

Here's the brithday girl ready to party!

She was VERY excited to see Harrison arrive at the party. He was glad to be there too, even though it doesn't look that way (he had just got up from a nap!).

Playing in the kiddie pool....

Eating pizza....

This is her face as we sang to her! (Notice the wall of people behind her...they were blocking the wind from the candle flame)

Trying to blow out the candle...

For those of you who weren't at the party, click on this next picture and look really close (at the flame)....you can see my hair starting to light on fire. Yep, that's right....on fire. Buzzy has a better picture of it (while it was ACTUALLY on fire). I'll get that from him. We also have this on film. I was very thankful that I had no "products" in my hair! Whew!

Haylee enjoyed her chocolate cupcake....

Opening gifts....

The tricycle was a HUGE hit! She loves her new bike!!! Thanks, Buzzy & Debbie!

She also loves her Elmo chair....and the talking it does is so fun to hear over and over (sarcasm). Thanks, Nana & Pappy!!!

We put the sand box/water toy together last night and she played with it before bed. She loved it and already figured out how to make mud! Thanks, Bebe & Pawpaw!

Here she is saying how old she is. We crack up at how she makes a two on her land!! Looks like she's calling someone a loser.

H & H of course played together with the new bike...they always play so well together!

Dear Santa: I want one!!! Love, Harrison
Thank you to everyone who came and/or sent gifts! Haylee loves everything and Tommy & I are grateful that she is loved by so many people!!!

Haylee's 1st dance class!

So we had the first class yesterday morning....Haylee did GREAT! She followed directions, obeyed her teacher and even participated in the dancing! She did get pulled away from the dancing by the large mirror two times during the class. She just had to check herself out real quick, ya know. LOL! It was so cute...

I only got a couple pictures while she was sitting and waiting for class to start in the waiting area. There was another class immediately after her class, so pics inside the classroom were kinda hard....maybe another day...ENJOY! :)

Cousin fun

Haylee had fun with her cousin Cheyenne today in her pool. Here are a few pictures...(I'm not quite sure what is wrong with blogger....but lately it's been making my pictures fuzzy & grainy????)

She was having SO much fun dumping water with her bucket. I just love her look of excitement in this next picture...

H & H

Harrison & Miss Renee came over this morning so Miss Renee could make Haylee's Elmo cake (& I could watch Harrison for her to do this)......side note: the cake looks AWESOME...but I can't spoil it with pics on my blog tonight, sorry.

Anyway, I took H & H outside for about an hour to play in the kiddie pool again. They had a GREAT time....they always play sooo good together!

In this picture, Haylee was holding Harrison's hand saying, "rolly, rolly".....which translates to, "ring around the rosey" ...meaning she wants to sing/play it. But obviously by Harrison's face he didn't understand what she was wanting.
And here they are in the pool. They were having WAY TOO MUCH FUN to look at the camera. So I snapped a couple and gave up. :)

A new favorite!

Haylee got a package in the mail from Aunt Steph today for her birthday! Knowing that she'll get plently this weekend at her party, we let her open it today. Aunt Steph can't make it out to her party....so here's video & pictures for Aunt Steph!

Baby Elmo comes complete with a passy, blanket, bib, diaper, & brith certificate. Haylee just thought it was all so neat! She just LOVES this new toy! WOW! And she even shared her new "purse" that Great Great Grandma Strom made her with Baby Elmo.

Party Pool

We bought a new kiddie pool for Haylee's birthday party this coming Saturday...so of course we had to test it out tonight! She had fun pouring water with her bucket.
She also thought that EVERY outside toy in her toy box needed to go in the pool with her.
So she ran back and forth from the pool to the toy box, back to the pool with each toy.

However, she was not happy to hear that the chalk could not go into the pool.

She thought laying on her belly was pretty cool too.

Getting excited

When Haylee sees her cute little pink dance bag she says, "Bah-lay shoes". I'm not really sure she even knows what "bah-lay" is yet....but she will soon. Anyhow, we tried on the whole ensemble yesterday and I had to share the picture I took. :)

Dress up

So little missy here is really starting to dig playing "Dress up" lately. One day I came home and all her stuffed animals had hats and sunglasses on and were lined up for a "fashion show" (with the help of Daddy...). She learned what a "fashion show" is from the 5 year old neighbor and the 9 year old neighbor.

However, the "playing dress up" may be starting to overflow into our day to day attire. Check this one out...

Harrison's 2nd Birthday Party!

We helped Harrison celebrate his 2nd birthday at the Choo Choo Station in the Grapevine Mills Mall last Saturday. Harrison, Haylee and all the other kiddos had sooo much fun! It was such a great place for this age! Here are some pictures of all the fun...
Check out this AMAZING cake Renee made....is she talented or WHAT? (the party theme was "Planes, Trains, & Automobiles"......WOW!

H & H of course had fun together playing with all of the "choo choos"

And if there is a slide somewhere, this girl is gonna find it!

Riding the choo choos was a hit too!

Then there was the BIG choo choo ride! My daughter of course wasn't so sure what to think about it at first. However after one round, she was lovin' it!

It was such a fun time.....
The next day Haylee attended SUNDAY SCHOOL for the first time! She had such a great time. She even learned about the "firs Daddy, Ada"...a.k.a. the first Daddy, Adam. They learned about Adam & Eve. They also sang songs and played on the play ground at church. Very cute!
