Conversation with Haylee

I am sharing this conversation because I feel I need to write it somewhere to save it...

Tonight during bath...
Haylee: Mommy, when you were a little girl I wasn't born yet, right?
Me: That is right....God hadn't made you yet.
Haylee: What did he do to make me? Did he make a robot drawing of me?


I love this age. :)

Bebe & Pawpaw's house, Part 2: PARTIES!

Bebe planned a "together party" (as Haylee calls it..haha) for both Haylee & Rylee's birthdays. It was a great idea, as Rylee's birthday is in June & Haylee's is in August. It was fun because the girls got to celebrate with family and friends down there that they usually don't get to party with. The kids had fun swimming, playing, opening lots of gifts and of course eating cupcakes! After the birthday party was the big "Blake Bash Barn Dance"....where lots more people came over and everyone ate, drank, played, danced and visited. Fun was had by all....here are pictures from both parties.... :)

Bebe & Pawpaw's house, Part 1: Hangin' out at the house

We loaded up the van and headed down to Santa Fe, Texas to visit Bebe, Pawpaw & lots of other family and friends for several days. We had a really nice time....there are a ton of pictures I took from this trip so bare with me, it will take several posts to share!

Both girls have always loved standing at Bebe's back door looking at the dogs...I have a picture of Haylee doing this right around the same age!

The firestation!

We have a fireman that lives next door to us and his wife is a police officer. Haylee has been just a little bit obsessed with firetrucks for quite some time now. So a few weeks ago (trying to catch up on our busy summer here...) Tommy, Haylee, Brad (our fireman neighbor) and his daughter, Delani, went up to the firestation to get a tour. Sheli, his police officer wife, was on duty too so she came to the station so Haylee could see a police car. She had a GREAT time...and Tommy did a good job of taking pictures for me too! Here they are...

Rylee's 1st birthday!

Rylee's 1st birthday was a week and a half ago. It turned out great! My grandparents (Rylee's GREAT grandparents!!) were actually able to be in town for her party! My Mimi & Mom helped me make the caterpiller cupcake cake...it turned out sooo cute!! Here are pictures from her party!

Hot Springs

Tommy & I went to Hot Springs, Arkansas two weeks ago and my parents kept the girls. We had so much fun! It was a much needed trip...we are so thankful to have my parents who love to keep our girls!
