Hanging out...

In trying to get caught up on my blog posts...I'm putting pictures from several days into one post. These are all just random shots from the past few weeks...this post is a little Rylee-heavy. Haylee will get over it. :)



Rylee can sort of sit in the bumbo now. Sort of. After about a minute or two, she fusses and doesn't like it. HAHA! I put her head band on like this b/c the spaghetti strap onesie looks like she's going to work out. And check out her guns!!

Harrison's Birthday Party!

We went to Harrison's birthday party two weeks ago (a.k.a. "Hollywood" according to my mother-in-law..hehe!).

Anyway, it was at Paradise Pond. Haylee had a lot of fun and I think Harrison did too!

Catching up...

OK, I really am catching up here...this post is a small sampling of some pictures of the beginning of August.



Rylee is a much crankier baby than Haylee was. So in the evenings at least one of us usually straps on this jeep thing and takes her for a walk around the block to calm her down...

Lizzy came over and took Haylee swimming several times this summer while I couldn't go swimming. Haylee looved it! Here's a picture of one of those swim-days! :)

Then, two weeks ago this random storm blew through our neighborhood with 65+ mile an hour winds. Tommy had to repair part of our fence and it snapped our tree. Here's what's left of our tree...

And here's the remainder of the tree and all the other stuff in our yard. It was all blown to the other side of the yard...

Grandpa's Visit!

Grandpa Ray came to visit Haylee and meet Rylee last month (that is how FAR behind I am on the blog!)...I'm going to attempt to catch up over the next few days. So expect LOTS of posts!! :)

Tummy time

Here's a quick video of Rylee having some "tummy time" for the first time. She's pretty strong for a 6 week old! :)

And yes, she is going bald like her sister did! So earings -- here we come! :)

Playing

I just had to take a picture of Haylee's flip flops...and the reason is this: I have been trying for a LONG time to get her to wear flip flops. Bebe comes in for three days, buys her these flips flops and now the child ONLY wants to wear them and no other shoes! (and they are a tad too big, so it's hilarious!)
































We've done a LOT of playing here lately....I just love these two pictures of Haylee playing with bubbles....isn't she SO BIG? She will be three in 18 days. I don't want her to grow anymore! She is SO FUN at this age! AHH! I love it! :)

Mimi & Pawpaw-Ken sent Haylee this "castle" as she calls it for her birthday. It's become the keeper of her dress up box. She just loves it! We think it's pretty cool....but it will only be in the living room for a few more days. Then it's up to the game room where there is MUCH more space! :) Here's a picture of Daddy & Haylee playing in the castle...

More random pictures

We have spent countless hours doing this lately: feeding Rylee while watching a cartoon with Haylee. Due to the fact that her baby sister needs to eat 8 times a day and it's been 100+ degrees all summer, Haylee has watched waaaay more TV this summer than usual. However, as her sister grows and fall weather arrives that will change! Meanwhile, she's enjoying herself!

This has also been the summer of smoothies...or as Haylee calls them "ssmoo-v's". She LOOOVES them!

Haylee LOOOVES her baby sister. And she loves to hold her! 99% of the time she is very gentle with her...she is learning. :)

Rylee is really starting to pack on the weight lately. She will be 6 weeks on Thursday and I had to pull out all the 0-3 month clothing already! I realize to some people this is normal. However, we make small babies in this family. Haylee was 6 lbs when she was born and didn't fit premie clothing. She wore newborn stuff until about 3 - 3 1/2 months old! So this is kinda shocking to me. Rylee was a tad bigger but is growing much faster! Here's a picture of her in a towel after a bath...
