Gymboree with Harrison

If you don't know who Harrison is by now....then you haven't been reading my blog.

Renee (Harrison's mom) had free passes for two to Gymboree Play & Music. If you don't know what Gymboree P&M is...it's basically a room full of soft toys for little ones to play on. Oh yeah and they sing these cheesy songs...Renee and I weren't too keen on that part. But the babies had fun playing. Here are some pictures from our little adventure.

They had to wear little name tags....so of course we took pictures of them! :)

Haylee had just gone down the slide...with my assistance. She doesn't know what to think of slides still.
She loved climbing the stairs because this is a BIG NO-NO at home...so she thought it was pretty neat that I let her do it here.
Isn't the double-sided rocking horse cute? hehe
I know she doesn't look happy, but she really did have fun!

Today Renee & Harrison came over to play. Here is a picture of H & H with their eyes glued to the baby einstein video.

more new toys

We're not trying to spoil our child...she just needed a few new toys b/c she was getting bored w/ what she had. So check out her new "standing toy" as we are calling it. She LOVES it. She mastered crawling and now all she wants to do is STAND!

farm

Bebe & Pawpaw gave Haylee a toy farm for Christmas. It is for ages 1-4, so we put it up in her closet at Christmas time. Even though she isn't 1 yet, we pulled it out yesterday....she loved the noises it made: "oink" "moo", a rooster, etc....she also enjoyed eating the animals.

Tired girl

I was gone for several hours today to take some pictures. Tommy said that Haylee kept playing in her crib instead of napping. After a while she got quiet on the monitor, so he went to check on her...this is what he found:

It looks like she was sitting up laughing and playing and then fell asleep and just fell forward...ha! That looks SO uncomfortable.

She's pretty flexible...maybe she'll take after me and be a DANCER! :) :)

Great Granny, mobility, & new food

Haylee's Great Granny came to Dallas this weekend for her friends 90th birthday party! So we met her at ihop for breakfast. This is Tommy's grandmother...

Haylee is starting to crawl...sort of. She can crawl backwards and take about 3 or 4 "steps" (crawls) forward. But she can pretty much move herself all around...anywhere she wants. With this new sense of mobility, we find her doing all sorts of things in her crib when nap time is over!
Today we began the introduction of finger foods. Our first attempt was with a banana chopped into pieces. She loves them and had no problem mushing them with her gums and tongue (still no teeth!). But she can not for the life of her figure out how to put the pieces in her mouth by herself...we had to do it. When she couldn't get it in her mouth, she found it humerous to throw the sticky banana pieces onto the floor. Lovely.
Summer is ALMOST here...I can taste it.

So the count-down begins....only FIVE days of work left! Yipee!
