Wildlife Park

Our first day in Houston we went to a local Wildlife Park with Pawpaw, Bebe & cousin Kevin.  We all had a great time (despite the HOT weather) and we got to see lots of animals on our tram ride.  The girls got to feed animals, ride a "train" (the tram), go for pony rides and pet some animals in the petting zoo.

Beware:  there are TONS of pictures below!

Dinosaurs!

We drove down to the Houston area to visit all of our family down there.  As we were approaching Houston, I was researching some fun things for us to do the next day on my phone (museums, zoos, etc...).  As I was looking I found out that two museums in downtown Houston have "family free night" on Thursdays and it was a Thursday.  Haylee has been in love with dinosaurs for the past several months and one museum had just opened a new dinosaur exibit.  So...we decided to stop.  So did everyone else in the Houston area!!  It took us about 45 minutes to FIND a parking spot!  But Haylee had fun so it was worth it.

The pictures I took are not great because the lighting in places like this are always terrible...but here they are!

Haylee and Rylee both had fun looking at all the dinosaur bones (especially Haylee!).

And this last picture is what you get when you take a 2 year old on a road trip for 5+ hours, she skips her daily nap and then you make her sit in a stroller through a museum:

The 4th

After the Yankee Doodle Parade and a nap...we headed to Pappy & Nana's house for some food, swimming and fireworks!

Rylee enjoyed some pool side veggies and ranch before dinner.

Nana & Rylee

Apparently we have deprived Rylee of corn on the cob...so to make up for lost time, she decided to double-fist some!

SWIMMING!

Aunt Jenny & Uncle Scotty came up from Waco to celebrate!

Nana, Haylee, Rylee & Abby (& Lily leaving the picture!)

When it started to get dark we gave the girls baths, put on PJ's and then headed to the lake side of my parent's neighborhood where we had a great view of the fireworks (without the traffic!).  The girls played with their patriotic pinwheels that we made earlier in the day and some glow bracelets that Haylee and I found at Michael's.

Cousin Olivia french braided the big girl's hair while waiting for fireworks to start.

YAY for fireworks!  Rylee LOVED them!

Happy 4th! :)

Yankee Doodle Parade 2012

We went to the Yankee Doodle Parade the morning of the 4th here in Denton...just like we did last year.  It's small but the girls had a blast!  Here are some pictures...

Rylee's 2nd Birthday party!

Rylee turned two last weekend...so we had a pool party at Pappy & Nana's house.  It was a ladybug theme because Rylee LOVES bugs!  She calls them "buggies"...it's really cute.  Here are some highlights from the party...
