Trick or Treat!

We took the girls trick or treating tonight. Haylee had a BLAST and Rylee, well, she seemed content in her cute costume in the stroller. So I guess they both had fun. They were cute, that's for sure.

Here they are all dressed and ready for the fun....Tinkerbell & her Bumble Bee! :)

Before we hit the streets of our neighborhood, we drove 2 minutes down the road to Uncle Ross & Aunt Lizzy's house to trick or treat them...

And now we're off to our neighborhood....and by neighborhood I mean our street and half of another. :) She's three, she doesn't need that much candy. Plus she has this new nut allergy thing! UGH!

Nana is in Florida, so Pappy came over and joined us for some trick or treating....that girl sure knows how to work him...he's such a sucker! HA! :)

I think Haylee had just as much fun handing out candy to trick-or-treaters as she did trick-or-treating herself.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! :)

Gone Fishin'...

Tommy took Haylee fishing last week. It was THE CUTEST thing to witness. She had a blast...and she didn't catch anything. I can't wait to see how much fun she has when she catches something. Her attention span, of course, only allowed for about 20-25 minutes of fishing. But she really enjoyed it. They've gone another time since then and I'm sure there will be many more evenings of fishing while the weather is nice. For those of you who've never been to our house.....this is the pond/lake that we live on....

Baby Grace came to visit!!! Part 3 (Final)

This is (finally) the last post of Baby Grace's visit (only what, 3 weeks later or so).

We took Grace & Haylee to the zoo and left Rylee with Nana. We had a great time...Haylee just loves animals and I think Grace is becoming quite the fan too!

Here's a couple cute snap shots as we were waiting to get tickets and go in....

Not sure what animals we were looking at....but who cares, right? The sight is adorable!

I could just squeeze Grace's little cheeks!! Too cute :)

I think this was the deer exhibit...

The petting zoo was by far her favorite!!

This is one of those flatten a penny machines. We got Haylee two of them. She thought it was pretty cool!

That's all! :)
We had a great visit, baby Grace! :)

Goodbye Pedro

For those of you who haven't had the privilage of meeting our family pet...Haylee's has had a pet fish, Pedro, for about a year or so now. Well, we have actually had three Pedros to be exact. We lost two and simply told Haylee that Pedro needed a hair cut...so Daddy took him to the salon to get it and came back with a new doo and different color "hair". She bought it.

However, he died again (or not again....this one died) yesterday and we decided to tell her he died. She's getting older and she's starting to understand dealth a LITTLE. Like the earth worm her and Daddy played with in the yard died while they were playing with it and she kinda understood. And she remembers Nana & Pappy's dog going to heaven. So we thought we'd tell her. Here's how the conversation went:

Daddy: Haylee, Mommy & I need to tell you something.
Haylee: What?
Daddy: (long pause) Pedro died.
Haylee: So I don't have a fish anymore?
Mommy: No, but we'll go to the pet store and pick out a new one next weekend and you can give this one a new name.
Daddy: Haylee, do you remember where people and animals go when they die?
Haylee: Yes. They go to Kevin.
Daddy & Mommy: (laugh histerically)
Daddy: Do you mean heaven?
Haylee: yes, heaven

Then we proceeded to have the normal "burial at sea" via the toilet. Haylee even dumped him herself, waved at him, said, "Goodbye Pedro!" and flushed him.

This morning she woke up and told Tommy she was sad that Pedro was dead and wanted to know when she could see him again. She also wanted to know who was going to feed him in heaven.

This child is HILARIOUS!

Baby's Grace's visit!!! Part 2

So we took the three girls to the pumpkin patch...3 months, 8 months and 3 years. Thank God my parents joined us so we had 6 adults for these 3 children. Here are a ton of pictures from our Pumpkin Patch adventure....

The Claxtons.....

The babys in the stroller......

Everytime we are out with my parents, Haylee ends up on Pappy's shoulders....she SO has him wrapped! It's hilarious...
This was Rylee's "First Pumpkin Patch" visit...too cute...

The big girl enjoying herself....doing her own thing...

When I asked her to smile for me, this is what I got. She obviously was NOT in a picture taking mood. :)

CUTE!

Kristin, Kristin (yes, we have the same name) and the babies...on the hayride...

I'm getting better at getting shots of all four of us....here are several!

HAPPY FALL!!

Baby Grace came to visit!!! Part 1

(& her mommy & daddy...hehe)

We had a great time with the Claxton's last weekend. In fact, we ran into some friends at Chili's tonight and I said, "Haylee -- look! There's baby Holden!" Her response was, "But where is baby Grace?" It was so cute. Haylee llooooooved having two babies in the house....no, don't get any ideas. No more babies from this body!

Anyway....their visit is going to take multiple posts for sure! So here is the first set of pictures....these are just from the house the first morning they were here.....

Haylee kissing baby Grace...

All three kiddos "playing"...

This next picture was probably some great relief for this little one....b/c little did we all know she was cutting some new teeth all weekend! Her mommy saw them pop through the day after they got home! :)

Haylee enjoyed having Grace eat by her....however, Grace didn't eat much when Haylee was right there, as she was a little distracted by Haylee. LOL :)

Haylee thought she was big stuff feeding baby Grace...
More to come... :)
