New things for the week:

1) Standing alone (holding the couch)
2) Going "swimming" in 2 inches of water (see video)
3) Learning to clap (see videos)
4) Learning to say "bah" (translated to "bye") and waving her hand (sorry no video of this yet)

Mother's Day Weekend

DISCLAIMER: This is LONG...with a TON of pictures! :)



Saturday began with me getting a "free day". I got to do whatever I wanted and Tommy took care of Haylee all day so that I could do that.



I did some shopping, got a pedicure, did some scrap-booking.



Then we went to the park for a looooong, hot walk (it got up to 90!). This is Haylee at the end looking pooped:



Haylee made me this at the babysitter's house on Friday....cute, huh? :)



Then starts today...(sunday)...



She is getting really mobile. Not pulling up yet, but close. Look at her standing in her crib...(we propped her up).

So Tommy lowered the crib while H and I read her new talking book (not really new, she got it for Christmas but was too little to enjoy it at that time....so I pulled it out this weekend):

We started prepping for summer time....YIPEE! (only four more weeks of teaching left! woohoo)

So my mom bought her the most adorable swimsuit for Christmas. We tried it on this weekend and it is a little snug....it's a size 18 MONTHS! She is almost 9 months...what a chunk.

So we bought a new swimsuit this weekend....pretty cute, huh? She's the US flag! :)

And the cute backside...

We also bought some bubbles today at Wal-Mart and played out front w/ them. She thinks that bubbles are hilarious and couldn't figure out why she couldn't catch them.

The side of our house has a hill on it....she got on her stomach and then accidently rolled down the hill. It was pretty funny. This is the face she gave us when she caught herself and finally stopped rolling. Pretty funny.

It was a great weekend. Can't wait for summer. :)

Bluebonnets!

We went HUNTING for Bluebonnets last weekend. Texas wildflowers in the DFW area this year were pretty pathetic. We had to drive around for a while before we finally found some...thanks to my friend Renee!

The sun was bright and there wasn't a cloud in the sky...and it was about 1:30. So the lighting is horrible...but my subject was adorable. :) So the pictures turned out just ok...lots of shadows and stuff. Oh well...enjoy! :)

Many new things

Haylee joined her first club...a book club. Her first books came in the mail yesterday with a very cool Dr. Seuss back pack.


Tommy gave her a lovely ride in the laundry basket. She thought it was funny...see the white trash video at the bottom of this post...
She got some new "big girl" toys. She loves them so much that she cried when Tommy put her in her play pen to play this morning (which she usually loves)...she wanted to play with her new toys.
She's getting WAY too big...
And a new car seat...again, way too big!

We've been thinking that Haylee has started to look more like Tommy lately. So we thought we'd take new pictures and do the look-alike meter again. Last time (in March, I think) she looked 21% more like me....and today....
