Man's Best Friend

While in Florida, they had to put down our childhood dog, Shelly. Anyone who knew her knew what a GREAT dog she was! She was 17 or 18 years old....she had a LOOONG life for a dog, but we'll sure miss her!

Here are some old pictures of her that my mom and sister found, scanned in, and emailed to me:

And here is one that I took while we were in Florida....she always loved to sleep on the cold tile! :)

Trip to Florida, Part 4 - Final Post

We drove to Titusville to visit the rest of my family. Here is a small sampling of pictures I took there.

My Mimi cooked a WONDERFUL meal for us all!!

Aunt Jenny playing with Haylee.

Haylee LOVES lemons.
Dad & Haylee @ 15th Street Fisheries.
My cousin Deonny feeding Haylee.
My GREAT Grandma Strom (Haylee's GREAT GREAT Grandma Strom!) feeding Haylee.
Mimi has a picture of me looking out this door when I was little...pretty neat. :)

That is all for the Florida trip...we had great visits with everyone...and are ALMOST all caught up on sleep! :)

Trip to Florida - Part 3: the beach

We took Haylee to the beach for the first time! We all wore white b/c we (and by "we" I mean Kristin) wanted to take family pictures on the beach. But they all humored me and I thanked them later.
You can image what kind of looks we got as everyone else on the beach was wearing bathing suits and laying out and swimming....we looked odd. But I think the pictures turned out pretty decent! Here are a few of my favorites...

To my family (and anyone else who cares), you can view the rest of them on my photography website: www.kristinrayphotography.photoreflect.com - click on "family beach pictures" to the left, password is: haylee
How come no matter what beach you go to, you see something like this? :)

Trip to Florida - Part 2: Flamingo Gardens

My parents live in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area. There is a zoo/gardens place down the road from their house called Flamingo Gardens. I had been there about 5 or 6 year ago when they first moved down there...so mom and I took Tommy and Haylee. Here are a TON (but only a small portion of the lot I took) of pictures.

We found the humor in the title of this tree, I hope that you do too. The 2nd picture shows how the roots grow and why it's called what it is.

Trip to Florida - Part 1

We just got back yesterday from Florida. I took over 200 pictures...so I'm going to post pictures in parts. This first post is just pictures from hanging out at my parent's house....

Tommy cooked us dinner one night...
Pappy & Nana playing with Haylee.

We went for a walk in their neighborhood to check out some ducks at the pond.

Haylee & Mom in the pool.

Of course there were PLENTY of places for mini photo sessions....here is one of my favorites!

Haylee found it entertaining to climb into the dog's kennel...crazy kid.

Check back soon....more to come...

4th of July

We drove to Houston for the weekend to visit Tommy's family. We had a great time. Haylee got lots of play time with Bebe & Pawpaw, Kristin got to ride a four-wheeler for the first time (YES-The FIRST time!), we managed to squeeze about 45 minutes of swimming in )between ALL the rain...all day), and then we saw a beautiful rainbow.

Thanks to Nana for the adorable 4th of July dress!!

More weekend pictures to come.....
