Later in the day we made a birthday cake for baby Jesus. Haylee helped me make it...isn't it pretty? And the icing job is fantastic! :)

White Christmas

It snowed FOUR INCHES at our house on Christmas Eve and it didn't melt...so we had a white Christmas! Christmas Eve was pretty much miserable outside....it was BITTERLY cold and windy. It was snowing sideways. But we still ventured out to let Haylee play in the snow and get some pictures!! :)

Today is Sunday, the 27th and we STILL have snow patches on the ground....it's crazy! And the forecast is saying MORE snow on Tuesday. Pretty neat...and weird!

Santa's Lap

OKAY....I'm trying to catch up with my blog postings....so here's another one for ya...

So we went to sit on Santa's lap on Tuesday. We (& by we, I mean ME) talked up Santa for weeks. We look at pictures of him, have a yard art giant picture of him in our yard, a stuffed animal in the living room (that toots), etc, etc....so the big day finally arrives to go sit on his lap. I just knew that she wouldn't sit on his lap...she'd cry and either Tommy or I would be in the picture too.

So we get there and we're waiting in line...(check out her adorable xmas dress with every accessory possible!)

Then the fake snow starts to fall while waiting in line and she just thinks this is the COOLEST thing ever...she catches some in her hand and shows me...

We look at Rudolf and everything....we watch other kids sit on Santa's lap and PRAY that a screaming two year old isn't in front of us to give Haylee the idea. She watches other kids and gets excited.

So it's finally her turn (45 minutes later!) and she literally RUNS to Santa, gets in his lap and shows him her purse!! :)

Here she is...my big two year old with Santa. She also told him what she wanted: a chalk board & bubbles.

To think that there will be TWO children in my Santa pictures next year is CRAZY & exciting!

After waiting in line forever, we let H play in the play area at the mall (like last year). These mall people are BRILLIANT when they choose where to put Santa.

And yes, that's her purse in her hand while she slides.

Christmas @ Bebe & Pawpaw's House

Forgive me on this one....I didn't take but a couple pictures when we did Christmas @ Bebe & Pawpaw's house because I video taped much of it. So we have it recorded, just in a different way.

Here's H doing what she is soooo good at these days: opening gifts!

Tommy's cousin Kevin was quite possibly Haylee's favorite person in Houston this trip. The two just hit it off right away...it was cute! :)

Christmas @ Great Granny's

We spent a few hours at Haylee's Great Granny's house while in Houston. We had a great time and boy did Haylee make a HAUL on toys over there. WOW! Here are some pictures from our visit.

Family Christmas Party

We drove to Houston for the weekend to celebrate Christmas with our family down there...

Every year there is a huge family Christmas party down in Houston with Tommy's side of the family the Saturday before Christmas. Here are some highlights from this party...

This child is getting REALLY good at opening presents...she totally gets it this year. But we're also making her give everyone their gifts BEFORE she opens her's so she learns the fun in giving too. :)
