Hey Nina...here is the picture I promised a

while ago of our new patio furniture!! We just love it and (when it's not too terribly hot) we eat out there a couple nights a week! It's great and makes for an easy clean-up! :)

The Frank Buck Zoo

My sister and her friend, Ornella, were in town visiting this past weekend. So we decided to take Haylee to the Frank Buck Zoo. It's a smaller zoo....but GREAT for Haylee's age b/c it doesn't take long to see everything and it's never crowded!

Finger Paints!

So apparently this is the week of "let's pull out Christmas gifts we haven't used yet". Maybe it's the anticipation of summer coming and us having lots of extra time to play. Anyway, we gave Haylee some finger paints for Christmas and just haven't used them yet....well we pulled them out the other day and she had SOOOO much fun with it! We've painted plenty of times, just never finger paints. Here are some pictures of the fun...

Tappy

Haylee got a gift card to Build-A-Bear from her Uncle Jeremy for Christmas. We decided to save it since she got SO MUCH at Christmas....we thought we'd wait until Christmas was long gone...so hey, it's May...way far from Christmas and her b.day is three months away, so the timing is right. So off we went to Build-A-Bear this past weekend.

We talked it up to Haylee and she was sooo excited! She picked a puppy and named him "Tappy"....she actually named him something waaaaay longer than that. The name she said over and over to us Tommy and I could not really repeat or figure out how to spell. So Tommy suggested to her that we shorten "her" name to Tappy. Yes, Tappy is a girl she says. And we let Haylee pick out two accessories for Tappy. She picked an A&M shirt (which made her daddy oh so proud!) and a pair of hot pink sunglasses. This kid cracks me up.

After we had been home awhile she asked me to take a picture of her and Tappy. I love that she is starting to like to have her picture taken lately....it's awesome! I think we are over the run-from-the-camera-stage! YIPEE! I knew from taking pictures of other kids that this ended around age 3...yipee! :)

Haylee also insisted that I take a picture of her kissing Tappy...oh dear baby sister, get ready...I think your big sister is going to be smoothering you in kisses the moment you join us!

Crawfish boil!!

A couple weeks ago we had a huge crawfish boil with our awesome neighbors. We have the best block...we all get along, the kids play hard together, and we do fun stuff like this all the time.

And here she is checking out the crawfish during their last few minutes of life. She thought they were pretty cool.

Haylee played HARD all day....and then took a great nap halfway through it all and slept HARD that night! :)

She also enjoyed having to put sunscreen on....weird child.

I just LOVE this next picture! She looks so sweet here!! And isn't her bathing suit for this season ADORABLE? hehe

The hula-hoop!

Haylee is the youngest kid on our block (not for long, though!) and anytime the "big girls" are playing with a toy she doesn't have, she talks about that toy for days. So when we ran across some hula hoops at Wal-Mart, she just HAD to have one. Watching her trying to hula hoop is quite possibly the funnest thing I've seen in a LONG time!

And we can NOT decide what to do with this child's hair. I'm so thrilled that she FINALLY has some. But it's so thin and about 93 different lengths. Do we cut it all the same length to a bob? Keep the bangs? Grow the bangs out? I have no clue. I may just take her to the hair stylist and let her decide. She's the expert.

Great Grandparents!!

Both sets of my grandparents were able to make trips out to visit! So these were Haylee's GREAT Grandparents! How lucky are we to have that many grandparents??
