Haylee's Christmas Dance Recital

We had Haylee's Christmas Dance Recital/Parent Show Night last week. She was pumped and excited about the event and was the cutest little ballerina and tap dancer out there! (at least we thought so!) I blacked out the other children's faces as we were encouraged at the show NOT to post other children on the internet. Makes sense this day in age.

Her little sister sat in her stroller and cheered her on too.

Catching up...

I realize I haven't posted in almost 2 weeks...so I'm going to take the next couple of days to catch up in time for Christmas day. Really the past two weeks have been such a whirl-wind. But a fun whirl-wind for sure. The holidays with Haylee this year are SO FUN because she is so into it and understands everything. It's really neat...I don't want it to end!

These first three pictures are just too cute. These two girls just love each other. Haylee thinks her little sister is the coolest, cutest thing she's ever seen. And no one, I mean NO ONE can make Rylee laugh and smile as quick as Haylee can. They just love each other. It's cute. And here are some pictures to show it.

This was breakfast time one Saturday or Sunday morning....I don't recall which one.

Haylee hand painted some wooden star ornaments for her little friends at Miss Shari's house. They are um...lovely. Mandy, if you read this, I think these would look great on your Christmas tree! ;)

We've watched more Christmas movies and specials than I can count on my fingers and toes and I think that is fantastic. My child even watched the entire DVD of the Rockette's Christmas Spectacular. She is such a mini-me! :) hehe
Here are a couple of pictures of the girls in their santa hats...

Coming soon: Haylee's Christmas dance recital and our trip to Houston/Santa Fe to see lots of family for Christmas!

Santa's Lap

We went and saw Santa last weekend. Here's the best shot I got...Haylee's fake smile and Rylee smiling at someone else. HA!

Haylee asked Santa for a firetruck and Barbie stuff. Santa is done shopping and has purchased those items. So we're good to go.

Gingerbread house

Haylee & I made a gingerbread house yesterday morning. SHE LOVED IT! We had a great time. Here are some pictures of her having fun...

More Christmas fun

We also decorated Haylee's little tree for her room. She thought this was neat last year...but thinks it is SUPER COOL this year. We turn the lights on at night while reading books and she just loves it! Here she is "decorating" her tree.

We ventured to the ICE exhibit at The Gaylord last weekend with my parents. It was definitely a trip to remember. I didn't get a ton of great pictures b/c the CRAZY people running the thing do not allow strollers in the exhibit! Instead they think that you should CARRY your 19 lb 5 month old under a giant winter parka into the below freezing giant tent full of ice sculptures.
The best part was Haylee going down the snow hill on a tube ALL BY HERSELF! It was quite a bumpy ride and she did it. We were all shocked that she did it. Anyway....here's our trip to the Gaylord in a few pictures...

Decorating the tree

Nothing says decorating for Christmas like overalls, right?

I woke this sleeping beauty so that I could get some pictures of her "decorating" too. And by decorating I mean trying to eat her foot. :)

Daddy & Haylee always put the train and train tracks up together. Something tells me there might be another little person "helping" them next year.

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving was a whirlwind this year...we definitely tried to cram too much into one day. But that's okay.

Here's a picture of the girls eating breakfast that morning.

Haylee & I did our usual of curling up on the couch to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade...with DVR of course so we can skip the commercials and "boring songs with no dancing" according to Haylee.

We went to Pappy & Nana's shortly after the Parade. Here's Rylee enjoying her Thanksgiving dinner of baby food sweet potatoes...look at how CHUBBY!?!

Tommy & the girls playing while we wait for the food to finish....

This little girl has definitely learned how fun Pappy is already...

Nana's beautiful table...

Nana & I were there, I promise. We just didn't make it into any pictures!
This is later on that day after nap time...the two girls are responding completely differently when I pull out my camera these days. The little one smiles...and the big one, well, she does the opposite...

That evening all of our neighbors came over for a 2nd Thanksgiving dinner. In one day. Yes, we are crazy. But we have the best neighbors, so it was worth it.
Haylee always loves it when "the big girls" play with her...so she was thrilled to find out that they enjoy playing with stickers just as much as she does!

HAPPY (late) THANKSGIVING! :)
