Ice/Snow Storm of the century

Today is Friday and we've only had school/work one day this week. Monday. School was canceled Tues - Friday for this INSANE winter storm! WOW! We have not left the house for over 80 hours (that's Monday night when we got home from work). I had cabin fever Wednesday....but now, I'm actually okay. Not sure why...I'm just trying to make the best of it and enjoying all this time I'm getting to spend with my girls!

We have done A LOT. We've literally played with every toy in the house. TWICE. :) I really haven't taken that many pictures considering. But here is a sampling of some of the things we've done over our week...

Haylee & I cliped, filed and painted her nails on Tuesday.

Here is a picture of day one ice...

Day 2 (& into day 3):
-Tommy wakes up with a stomach bug throwing up (great!)....so he is only aloud to be in bed or his recliner in the game room.
-The girls and I play with baby toys, dress up, and anything else we can find.
-Haylee and I make milk shakes. Yes, the wind chill is literally 5 below and we make milk shakes! :)
-Rylee gets a sippy cup of water for the first time.

And here we are day 4.....6 inches of snow over night last night and it's STILL coming down!!! WOW!

The Calm before the Storm.

So everyone knows about the awful weather by now...it's only all over the news and internet. But before our awful ice storm, we had BEAUTIFUL weather last weekend. So knowing that the "arctic air" was on it's way, we took advantage of the warm weather and did a lot outdoors.

We took the girls on a walk in the neighborhood and went to the park.

Rylee enjoyed swinging. A lot.

Haylee, on the other hand, spent about 2 seconds on the swings and then went to climbing.

Then we put the two of them on the slide together.

Then we walked back home and had lunch out back on our table that we used to eat on almost every night...oh how we miss doing that. I can't wait for spring!

And here are a few random pictures that I just haven't posted yet. :)

Through all the RSV, Rylee had an inhaler. You can't tell in this picture, but she LOVED IT! (seriously!) She would laugh and try to eat it everytime we did it. I suppose that is better than screaming, right?? :)

Sisters

We're still here...it's been INSANE in our house! Two cases of RSV and a double ear infection...need I say more? No one slept for almost an entire week and we took several days off of work....but we are all doing better....now I need to catch up on posting pictures...so we'll start here...

Try taking a picture of two little girls who make each other laugh, both under the age of 4. Yeah right! These two just love each other and giggle everytime I try to take a snap shot of them together. Rylee usually smiles at my camera, as Haylee kisses Rylee...it's cute! Here is my latest attempt...

Snow, round 2.

After naptime we ventured back outside for more playing in the snow. It was much colder this time so we didn't stay out as long. But Tommy, Haylee & our neighbor friend Paul did manage to make a good lookin' snowman! :) Rylee enjoyed watching all the action from her bumbo chair and stroller...

Look what we're playing in today....

SNOW!!!

There's already much more on the ground since these pictures were taken...we're going back out after naptime. :) More pics to come soon...
