Spring Break 2011, part 1

We had a great spring break this last week...it gave us a wonderful glemse of what the summer will be like this year.

We did lots of stuff...played inside, played outside, finger paints, modeling clay, went to Chuck E Cheese, played with our good friend Harrison, went to Chick-fil-A, celebrated Daddy's b.day, baked cookies, went to Build-A-Bear and Rylee learned to say "Mama" & Army crawl.

This is part one b/c I haven't finished uploading all of the pictures from the week yet. Here's what I have so far...

Ant Lowen's baby party

A.K.A.....Aunt Lauren's baby shower.

The girls and I drove down to the Houston/Galveston area with Nana 2 weekends ago. (Thank God Nana was in the car with me!!!) We dropped Nana off to visit a friend and off to Bebe & Pawpaw's house we went. We were there for about 26 hours total....a whirl-wind of a visit for sure. But we had fun.

I didn't take very many pictures at the shower....really I think I only took pictures BEFORE the shower actually started. B/c during the shower I was feeding Rylee and reminding Haylee to SIT and play quietly. (she did skip her nap for the party....so considering that, she was fairly well behaved)

Anyway....here is Ant Lowen's baby party (without a single picture of Aunt Lauren herself!)

The rest of February

We have been SO busy. It's been about a month since I've posted on here. Whew!

So...here are the rest of our pictures from February that I haven't posted yet.

Baby girl has started eating finger foods and drinking from a sippy cup:

We had lots of sleeping/bed changes in our house over the past month.
-Tommy & I got a new matress/boxspring, which was much needed.
-We took Haylee's bed rails off...she is now a very big girl.
-And we dropped Rylee's crib as we are close to pulling up.

Rylee is now big enough for the wagon....so we've taken several walks in it!

Haylee making Rylee laugh

Haylee was playing her recorder and Rylee thought it was hilarious! As soon as I started video taping, there was less laughing...of course. But it's still cute!

The past 2 weeks

The past two weeks have been CRAZY...Tommy worked 3 days and I worked 4. That's because we had five ice/snow days and the FLU hit our house! YUCK! We are so over winter...

Here are some pictures from the past two weeks....

Ice/Snow Storm of the century

Today is Friday and we've only had school/work one day this week. Monday. School was canceled Tues - Friday for this INSANE winter storm! WOW! We have not left the house for over 80 hours (that's Monday night when we got home from work). I had cabin fever Wednesday....but now, I'm actually okay. Not sure why...I'm just trying to make the best of it and enjoying all this time I'm getting to spend with my girls!

We have done A LOT. We've literally played with every toy in the house. TWICE. :) I really haven't taken that many pictures considering. But here is a sampling of some of the things we've done over our week...

Haylee & I cliped, filed and painted her nails on Tuesday.

Here is a picture of day one ice...

Day 2 (& into day 3):
-Tommy wakes up with a stomach bug throwing up (great!)....so he is only aloud to be in bed or his recliner in the game room.
-The girls and I play with baby toys, dress up, and anything else we can find.
-Haylee and I make milk shakes. Yes, the wind chill is literally 5 below and we make milk shakes! :)
-Rylee gets a sippy cup of water for the first time.

And here we are day 4.....6 inches of snow over night last night and it's STILL coming down!!! WOW!

The Calm before the Storm.

So everyone knows about the awful weather by now...it's only all over the news and internet. But before our awful ice storm, we had BEAUTIFUL weather last weekend. So knowing that the "arctic air" was on it's way, we took advantage of the warm weather and did a lot outdoors.

We took the girls on a walk in the neighborhood and went to the park.

Rylee enjoyed swinging. A lot.

Haylee, on the other hand, spent about 2 seconds on the swings and then went to climbing.

Then we put the two of them on the slide together.

Then we walked back home and had lunch out back on our table that we used to eat on almost every night...oh how we miss doing that. I can't wait for spring!

And here are a few random pictures that I just haven't posted yet. :)

Through all the RSV, Rylee had an inhaler. You can't tell in this picture, but she LOVED IT! (seriously!) She would laugh and try to eat it everytime we did it. I suppose that is better than screaming, right?? :)
