And the fun begins...

We bought a house and closed on it tonight! We've started packing....and we're ready to be done. We move this weekend...WOOHOO!

And here are pics of H in her new rain boots playing outside...she thought they were pretty cool and called them "boos" aka boots.

And TODAY Haylee said her FIRST SENTENCE!!! I was quite the proud mama! She made a picture at Miss Shari's today and I told her it was so pretty and she did a good job. Then she held it up and said, "I did pretty!" Tommy and I both looked at each other and gave the, "did she just say that look?" Sure enough! :) Wow is she growing up....it's so cool.

Today: sunglasses & salsa

We've added a new accessory to the must list...sunglasses. She has several pair too. This picture she has THREE headbands on and a pair of sunglasses. It's just too funny so I had to post it.

For dinner tonight I made Haylee a quesadilla....so I put some salsa in a bowl for her to dip the quesadilla in...she loved it. Until she got a piece of pepper in her mouth....EEK! Sorry Haylee, I didn't mean to burn your mouth!!! :( She got over it quickly though....bananas cure all.

LOVING ELMO!

All of a sudden Haylee LOOOVES Elmo! Miss Joy gave her an Elmo video for Christmas "Elmo's Potty Time". For the longest time she hasn't been interested in watching TV or videos....but all of a sudden all she wants to do is watch O-BOW! (translatted: Elmo) So we are having to limit her video watching now.

Here she is in our room while I was getting some stuff done last weekend....GLUED to the TV!

H's newest words

Everyday she learns new words. It's so fun...she's turning into a little girl and no longer a baby. I can give her a piece of paper and tell her, "Go throw this in the trash," and she does it. Or, "Go put this in the dirty clothes," and she does it. Or, "take off your diaper, it's bathtime," and she does it. You get the picture. Anyhow I constantly have a 'favorite word' that she uses. Right now it's waffle. She pronounces it: foffle. It is too cute. Maybe I will get it on video for you all to hear this week.

Easter morning...the basket.

Is it terrible that my child thinks cheerios in an Easter egg is a treat? I don't think so...she doesn't really know what candy is yet...so let's not taint her yet, right? Don't worry, there was chocolate in her basket too...but she was content w/ the cheerios!

Haylee's 1st Easter Egg Hunt!

The city put on an Easter Egg Hunt/Festival thing last weekend -- so we took Haylee. They had face painting...so we got her hand painted again. But this time an Easter Egg! :) She thought that was pretty cool and then later on the way home in the car ATE the paint off her hand...lovely.

This is what she did while waiting for the Hunt to start...I'm telling you the child does NOT like large crowds of people.

And we're off.....

There we are after the 30 second egg hunt. Man those eggs were gone FAST. We collected four eggs to bring home.

Here's H admiring her collection. She may not of had a grand time w/ the huge crowd of people....but she LOVES the eggs...and has played w/ them all week. She doesn't even know that she's getting MORE tomorrow morning...she'll be thrilled! Pics of that to come... :)

HAPPY EASTER!

J & L's bday party

We were invited to a FUN birthday party at the YMCA last weekend. We went w/ our good friends Harrison & Renee. They had the gym at the Y open with all sorts of balls, jump toys with a giant slide, and face painting.

So my child, being the, "I don't like big crowds of people like my dad," kinda person that she is did this for about the first 20 minutes:

After watching all the other children play, she finally held a ball.

Then she slide down the big slide in my lap b/c I made her. But she had fun doing it.

Then she FINALLY played w/ Harrison in the jump thing.
I love this next picture b/c of Harrison's face grining at Haylee...too cute!

Then we got her hand painted...a heart to match her outfit.
