Coming Home

We were released from the hospital the next day (Friday)...which was sooo great! We got much better sleep at home.

Here's a picture of Rylee all strapped in her car seat ready to go home at the hospital...

As soon as we walked in, Haylee wanted to hold Rylee...

Here's my big girl cheesing it for the camera like always...
One of our neighbors MADE this wooden sign and put it in the yard for our arrival! Isn't she amazing?? Bebe, Nana & Haylee also had balloons on the mailbox and the stork but we had brought those in by the time I got outside to take a picture of the stork.

Rylee's Nursery

So I had planned on posting pictures of her nursery BEFORE she was born, but that didn't happen! I had the pictures taken, but didn't get time to post them. So here they are for the family members out there who are interested in seeing it! :)

I drew and painted the butterfly...

Tommy made the wooden letters spelling her name and I painted them...and Mimi of course made the beautiful arrangement! I also painted polka dots on the pig on the shelf and a trashcan to match, but you can't see that.

I covered the lamp shade and made the table skirt

This valance is dark purple...you just can't see it real well b/c of the sunlight coming in. Oh and I made the valance too...it matches the lamp shade.

Rylee's 1st bath

Here are pictures that Tommy took at the hospital in the nursery during Rylee's first bath. Looking at these pictures I see Haylee all over again! LOL!

I think Daddy did a great job taking these pictures, so enjoy! :)

Gifts

Tommy & I had a great suggestion given to us while I was pregnant with Rylee. That was to let Haylee buy a gift for Rylee and for us to get a gift "from Rylee" to Haylee.

Haylee told us that she wanted to get baby sister a blanket so she would be cold. So Haylee picked out a blanket and we had Rylee's name embroidered on it.

We got Haylee a small wooden jewelry box that plays music and then a toy for her sand box...we wanted something for her to keep for years and then of course a toy for her to play with now. Here are pictures of Haylee opening those gifts after meeting Rylee.

Rylee Nicole is here!

She is here!! And she is great!

She was born on Thursday, June 24th weighing in at 6 lbs, 10 oz...a little bigger than her sister was. We think she favors Tommy but definitely looks a lot like Haylee when she was first born as well!

We got to come home Friday night, which was great! We've slept muuuuuch better at home than in the hospital, so that's been wonderful.

Here are some of the first pictures snapped.....

Her weight:

This is one of my favorite pictures...it's so sweet! This is the first time he held her and I have a picture just like this with him and Haylee....and I think he's in a white tshirt too! LOL!!! :)

Not the most flattering shot here, but cute....

I LOOOOVE this one too! This is when Tommy was bringing H to meet R! Thanks Nana for getting this picture!!!!!!!!!!! :)
And here they are meeting for the first time....so cute! :) Haylee is in love with her little sister....she loves to "help" me burp her and change her. She brings her stool from the bathroom to Rylee's room to see her on the changing table and "help me" change her diaper and clothes.

Father's Day

We celebrated father's day with my parents by eating Mexican food yesterday. Here are a few pictures...

Pappy, Nana &n Haylee

Possibly our last picture as a family of three...scary and exciting!

Poor Haylee is going to have to share this blog in three short days with her baby sister. Therefore, I'm going to TRY and do a few more posts before the big day of JUST Haylee.
That's all for now! :)

Toy Story 3!

Tommy & I celebrated our 6 year anniversary yesterday. And we both agreed that the highlight of our day was taking Haylee to see her first movie at the movie theater! She had SO MUCH FUN! And of course I have pictures to share with you. Yes, that's right...I had my giant camera out at the movie theater! HAHA! Don't worry, I didn't take pictures DURING the movie or anything....Tommy was slightly embarassed at first, but then he soon got over it. He's learned to just roll his eyes at me and go with it! :) Here are some pictures from our fun little adventure...

This first one is from eating ice cream at our favorite local old fashioned ice cream shop - Beth Marie's - before the movie.

Is she not just so cute waiting in line for tickets??? HEHE!

I love these pictures of her with our tickets...ESPECIALLY the 2nd picture! I love her peaking around from behind the tickets! TOO CUTE! :)

Of course you HAVE to get popcorn your first visit to the movie's, right???

Don't worry, this is not during the movie....it's just while we were waiting. It's not even during the 27 previews....it's during the commercials before the previews begin. She was just so excited for it to start here...

She literally sat on the edge of her seat and did not move for almost all of the movie! When she did move, she sat in one of our laps. She loved it!
ONE LAST THING:
Also...for those of you who know my sister, she flew to Europe yesterday. She is studying over there for the summer. Lucky, huh??? :) I'm so excited for her though! Anyway, if you are interested, she created a blog for her trip so we can all follow....so if you'd like to join her fan club and follow her trip, here's the URL: http://www.eurosteph2010.blogspot.com/
There's not really anything on there yet b/c she had a two hour flight to Chicago, a 9 hour flight to Madrid, and then on to Rome from there...she arrived at like 4am our time...and they are like 6 or 7 hours ahead. So she's probably crashing right about now or looking forward to crashing! :)
I don't know how often she'll update it...but it should be fun to see pictures at least!
