6 Months old!

Rylee was 6 months old on Christmas Eve. It's amazing to me how much they change in the first year...here's a little reminder of how this cutie has gotten cuter and cuter!

Christmas @ Pappy & Nana's house

After a casual morning at our house with "gifts from Santa" and what not...we headed over to Pappy & Nana's for more gift opening and lots of delicious food! After lunch we put the kiddos down for naps and the adults relaxed and watched Christmas Vacation. Here are pictures of our relaxing day...

Haylee helped Nana pass out gifts to everyone.

And at this point in the game...she was a PRO at opening gifts!

This one is following in her sister's footsteps and slowly but surely getting Pappy wrapped around her finger! :) They were quite the buddies Christmas day.

YUMMY! Christmas bows! :)

And Nana's awesome spread and beautiful table!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning Haylee and I baked sugar cookies and frosted & decorated them. We both had a lot of fun doing this...can you tell by her face? :) Here are some pictures of our fun...

Then that evening we went to church for the Christmas Eve Service. We stopped by Pappy & Nana's house on our way so that they could see the girls in their Christmas dresses...so Nana took a few pictures of us in front of her tree.

After church we came home, Tommy read the Christmas story from the Bible, the girls each opened one present (Christmas PJ's!), and then it was off to bed so Santa could come....to be continued...

Christmas @ Great Granny's house

Last weekend, while down in the Houston/Galveson area, we also had Christmas at Great Granny's house. We opened gifts, visited with lots of family, and ate some bar-b-que.

Looking through my pictures, only Great Granny, Uncle Jake, Haylee & Rylee made it in any of them. Oops...I promise there was like 10 other people there! I think I was a tad pre-occupied by Rylee deciding not to take her nap that I didn't snap as many pictures as I usually do. Pictures or not, we had a nice time. Haylee & Rylee got lots of fun toys and Haylee especially enjoyed getting to open her presents AND Rylee's presents! :)

Christmas @ Bebe & Pawpaw's house

We drove down to Houston/Galveston last weekend to be with lots of family to celebrate Christmas. Haylee probably asked us about 50 times, "Where is Bebe's house?" This is the 3-year-old version of, "Are we there yet?" We laughed every time she asked.

The girls really did great on both the ride down there and the ride back. Tommy & I recognized that this would be our hardest traveling Christmas...meaning that it will only get easier from here on out (because duh, we do NOT plan to have anymore children). Next year we shouldn't have all the "baby gear" and shouldn't have to pack half of our house into a mini van for a 2 day trip. But at least they were great travelers. On the way down I fed Rylee in her car seat and made Tommy, Haylee & I peanut butter & jelly sandwiches so we didn't even have to stop. It was great.

Anyway....we had a great time down there. Haylee was soooo excited about seeing Bebe's horses. She got to feed them with Bebe one morning AND sit on one of them two times. She thought she was big stuff! :) Here's a picture of her and Bebe off to feed the horses.

The girls also enjoyed some cuddle time with Pawpaw in his big comfy chair...can you tell he loves these girls?? :)

And of course there were lots of presents to be opened. As Pawpaw pointed out, Haylee double-dipped in the presents this year. After she opened all of her presents, she then got to open all of Rylee's. When she opened a few books from Aunt Cherry she looked at me and said, "These are Rylee's...but she can share with me." Next thing I knew she was in that big comfy chair "reading"! This kid is hilarious!! :)

And quite possibly the favorite gift yet (or at least one of them!) is the Barbie convertable that Aunt Lauren & Uncle John got her. Here she is hugging Aunt Lauren and telling her thank you for the car! :)

We got several CUTE outfits! (both girls did) And this is great b/c they both REALLY need winter clothes!

We have a picture with Bebe & Haylee playing the piano and singing Christmas songs from every year I think....if not every year at least the past two. So I made sure we got a picture with both girls this year...is this not a cute picture or what??

We had a big family Christmas party that Saturday night at Tommy's Aunt Cherry's house and took a huge family picture with my timer on my camera...here it is! :)
