Anyway, it was a very scary night...but all is well now. We are officially "that family". We have to read labels on everything that goes into her mouth, carry an "epi pen" everywhere, and teachers and classrooms will have to cater to our child around holidays and such events. Great.
Anyway...we didn't get home from the hospital until almost 10pm....so here's a picture of Haylee in the cutest little hospital gown eating a dinner of gold fish, banana and apple juice at 9:45pm....

She got to have a "camp out" on Mommy & Daddy's floor so Mommy could check her every hour or so to make sure she was breathing all night. They said to monitor her....so of course I took it the extreme. Wouldn't every mommy out there?
Needless to say....no one got much sleep that night. I was asked the following question MANY times...... "Mommy, can I wake up yet?"

Oh my goodness! That is so scary and frustrating. I have always dreaded having a child with allergies since my own allergies are so annoying. Our current kids have gone off of everything on the list and one will soon be tested for Celiac. I feel your pain friend. I hope that in the future you don't ever have to use that epi-pen! I am very glad that companies are doing a better job of labeling common food allergy ingredients. Spending money on special foods isn't thrilling but I do enjoy the excuse to go to Whole Foods :) We will be thinking of you and your sweet Haylee.
